Women’s March January 21, 2017

There was a moment when the speaker on the stage shouted out to the crowd, “What do we want??” She expected a resounding response but instead there was silence and then whispers of laughter. There were so many reasons we were there. Men women and children gathered together on what might have been a day of sadness but instead was a day filled with simple kindness and friendship and a shared belief in unity and peace and the possibility of good.

We didn’t know what to call out, but we did.  Every person shouted out their own word. Peace. Our Planet. Justice. Freedom. Equality. Fairness. Decency. Intelligence. Tolerance. Patience. Vegan Living.  Less Technology. Ecology. No Guns. Babies. Choice. Higher Consciousness. What a luscious cacophany we were.
